Movement is medicine

Well yes, movement is medicine. And the good thing is, it's not that complicated.

These days, everyone is scrambling on the yoga/ pilates/ HIIT bandwagon. It can get quite overwhelming if you're looking in from the outside.

Exercise can be simple, relaxing, and even meditative. It is a window for us to be in tune with our bodies and build a good relationship with it. Listen to your body, be aware of the bodily sensations, and feel what it needs in the present moment. It could be a jog in the park, 15 minutes of restorative yoga, or a high intensity power workout. Go ahead and push yourself if you have to. Exercise serves not only the physical body, but also the mind.

Sometimes the simplest things work wonders. Light stretches to the neck muscles, simply drawing big circles with your nose in the air, and pumping the discs between the joints in your neck is how you can show your body some LOVE.

Check in with your body, especially in this weird, stressful period of time. Crouching in front of the computer all day can't be good for you. Carve out some time, be present with your body, and get MOVING. Your brain and body will thank you, and the endorphins will be the cherry on top!
